Hi there: I am Joe Moore and I am the Broker/Owner that created this website. If you are searching for property in Maine, you may be having some trouble finding an experienced Broker to assist you with your purchase that you feel comfortable working with. I know what you mean, because in August 2000, I was in your shoes. I was trying to purchase property in Maine while I was living in Massachussets. I was in the market for a good home, with the resources to make such an investment. I would contact agents up here that would offer to assist me, but I sensed there was something awry with their offers of assistance. Frequently I would find a Broker with a good website and lots of experience, so I would contact her. I would then be re-contacted by one of her Buyer Representatives, who was typically an agent with little or no experience. Sometimes these new agents did not have cell phone, or they would not offer any way to contact them after their office closed at 5:00pm. I have met several agents that work at real estate part time, that have other full time pursuits. I once met a young agent that lived in an apartment. Did I want help with my purchase from a person that had never bought a home themself? From where I was coming from, I was used to prompt service, professionalism, and attention to detail. I especially wanted this from an agent that I was going to work extensively with on the biggest investments of my life. I was just not getting the right impression from the people that were offering to assist me, these supposed buyer speciailists that were new to the business. I ended up buying my home in Maine, but like many other owners that I met up here, we shared a sense of dis-satisfaction with the resources that were available to us as buyers. After I became licensed as a sales agent and went to work for one of the big franchised realty outfits I saw the problem. On my first day, I was told that the name of the game in real estate is "getting the listings". The mantra is that if you have enough listings, the buyers will call you. I was told that Listing are the life blood of the agency. I was told to spend all of my free time prospecting for more listings. The training and resources of the agency were completely direceted towards securing more seller clients. As for the buyers, the training consisted of: 1. Have them sign these forms, 2. If there is a problem, tell them to call their property inspector. I was astounded, and I was working for a very successful and major national real estate company. I saw a huge opportunity in offering Buyers something more. If you choose to work with me, I will call you back. I am successful, respected by my peers, well educated, and very technically savvy. Look where you are now. We probably have never met, and you are using just one of the resources that I have created for buyers. Think of how much more there is available to you. After reading this far you should have a sense of how seriously and personally dedicated I am to providing you with excellent service as your Buyer agent. When we do meet, I will be able to share extensive and well conceived strategies that my years of professional experience have taught me. This experience will serve you well, and help you avoid the unsatisfactory Buyer service that is available from other agencies. I am personally committed to offering you a totally positive experince buying a home in Maine.
